The Arizona Job Training Program, coordinated through the Arizona Department of Commerce, provides funds for businesses to design and implement customized training programs that meet their specific needs. The purpose of the program is to help create new jobs and increase the skill- and wage-level of Arizona employees.
Businesses receiving grant money have 2 years to complete the approved training program. Award amounts range from $2,000 to $5,000 per position for urban employers with 100 or more employees, and from $5,000 to $8,000 per position for rural / small employers or those located in an enterprise zone. All applications are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, and grants are awarded based on the availability of funds at the time the application is approved.
